Chiropractic is a great way to naturally and safely improve your health! Many studies show that chiropractic is the best choice for patients suffering from acute and chronic back pain.

1. Chiropractic prevents future episodes of low back pain.
Low back pain is a condition which continues to be one of the
costliest work place injuries in the United States in terms of treatment
and disability costs. With work related non-specific low back pain,
chiropractic has been found to be superior at minimizing disabling
recurrence of back pain after an initial episode when compared to
both physical therapy and medical treatment. 1
2. Chiropractic saves you money.
A 2012 study reviewed eight clinical and economic databases and
determined that spinal manipulation (adjusting) was a cost-effective
treatment for the management of both neck and back pain when used
alone or in combination with other techniques. This study compared
spinal manipulation to primary care with an MD, exercise and/or
physical therapy and supported the use of spinal manipulation as a
cost-effective treatment when used alone or in combination with other
treatment approaches. 2, 3
3. Chiropractic is more effective than epidural injections for disc
herniations.
Epidural injections are used to treat disc herniations and other
conditions causing low-back pain. However, these injections may
only provide temporary relief, and may have side effects like
dizziness, headache, and weakening of the spinal bones and muscles.
To determine whether patients could avoid epidurals, a study was
performed that compared the effectiveness of epidural injections to
chiropractic adjustments. 76% of the chiropractic patients reported
feeling “better” or “much better” after treatment, compared to 62.5%
of the epidural injection patients. Chiropractic patients also had better
improvements in pain with 60% of chiropractic patients having
significant reductions in pain, compared to 53% of the epidural
injection patients.

Additionally, chiropractic patients had lower medical costs, with an
average savings of 23%! 4
4. Chiropractic is the best option for sacroiliac joint pain with up to a
72% success rate for those using chiropractic care. Issues with the
sacroiliac joint can cause both severe back pain and even sciatica.
Spinal manipulative therapy (adjustment) was successful in 72 % of
patients and sacroiliac joint injection was successful in 50% of
patients while physical therapy was successful with 20% of patients. 5
